Makinarium UK Ltd's Studio Edition line launched with the T-800 Optics — a limited edition replica licensed from The Terminator and Terminator 2: Judgment Day, handcrafted at Pinewood Studios by the prop makers behind Star Wars, Mission: Impossible and the MCU.
Only 800 individually numbered pieces will ever be made. Every one is produced with the same techniques, materials and craftsmanship used in film production — which is exactly why proving which pieces are real matters so much.

Every piece is embedded with a secure encrypted NFC chip, powered by Fan Connect. A single tap with a smartphone opens a digital portal unique to that individual collectible — a digital certificate of ownership, serial number verification and provenance authentication, all tied to the physical object.

Why an encrypted chip, and not a printed certificate.
A paper certificate can be copied, lost or sold separately from the piece it belongs to. An encrypted chip is part of the object, verifies cryptographically rather than visually, and cannot be cloned onto a counterfeit.
It also keeps working after the sale. The portal behind each piece can carry new behind-the-scenes content, edition news and ownership records for as long as the collectible exists — and if it changes hands, the proof travels with it.
What the studio gets back.
Authentication is the visible half. Underneath, Makinarium gains a direct relationship with the people who own its work: which pieces have been registered, where in the world they are, and a channel to reach those collectors when the next Studio Edition drops.
